Prince Harry and William's rift appears 'permanent' says royal expert

The rift between estranged brothers Prince Harry and his older brother Prince William looks to be permanent damage, according to royal commentator Jennie Bond.

It comes amid reports that Harry and Meghan Markle have been snubbed from a royal gathering in September to commemorate the death of Queen Elizabeth II, in the latest blow to the couple.The Sussexes are set to be in Europe for the Invictus Games just one day after the one-year anniversary of Her Majesty's passing, but royal sources claim they will not be joining the rest of the Firm in mourning the late monarch next month.King Charles and Queen Camilla are believed to be marking the poignant anniversary on September 8 at Balmoral with other members of the family.

Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson will be joining them for the commemorations.Royal expert Jennie Bond told GB News: "We all say, ‘oh, time will heal everything’.

I think in this case it's not going to heal. “In fact, I think positions have become so entrenched that the rest of family have just moved on and Charles, I exempt him a bit from this, because he's the dad and he still loves his boy obviously, but I think certainly between William and Harry there is no going back, and it's just a fait accompli now that they don't talk. “They have no intention of talking, the two families go their own ways and I think that's how it's going to stay and time is making that more certain.” In a discussion with Patrick Christys, she continued: “I hope personally that Charles somehow reaches out to his son and continues to say he wants to see him, because I think that's what a dad has to do.
