Bruno Miguel Borges Fernandes (born 8 September 1994) is a Portuguese footballer who plays for Primeira Liga club Sporting CP and the Portugal national team as a midfielder. Fernandes started his career at Serie B side Novara Calcio and soon featured for Udinese and Sampdoria in Serie A.
In 2017, he signed with Sporting CP where he established himself as one of the best players in the Primeira Liga. He was named the LPFP Primeira Liga Player of the Year in both 2017–18 and 2018–19. In the latter season, he also helped Sporting win the Taça de Portugal. A senior international since 2017, Fernandes represented Portugal at the 2016 Summer Olympics and 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Maguire served as captain for three-and-a-half years after being appointed skipper by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer within six months of his £80million move to Old Trafford.
However, the 30-year-old lost his place in Erik ten Hag's side after just two games last season and eventually slipped down the pecking order.
United are open to selling Maguire this summer so his position as captain was untenable. The new captain has not yet been publically announced as the manager wants to inform all of his squad at once, which won't be possible until they're all together on the pre-season tour of the USA.
Rooney has now had his say on the saga and he thinks the best thing for Maguire now would be to leave the club.
