Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.
Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.
Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.
Waitrose implements blanket change across all stores as Lidl named cheapest supermarket
manchestereveningnews.co.uk'Posh' supermarket Waitrose has issued a message to all customers. It comes a day after the Manchester Evening News found Lidl to be the cheapest supermarket for a sixth consecutive month in a weekly price comparison of eight grocery essentials.
Now Waitrose has slashed the price of more than 200 products as part of a £100 million investment plan to lower customer bills.
The supermarket has cut the cost of more than 100 products by at least 10 per cent, with everyday items such as bread and mince receiving some of the biggest reductions.
The price of an 800g Waitrose soft white medium loaf has been cut by 13 per cent, from £1.15 to £1. Meanwhile, the price of a 500g pack of beef mince has been reduced by 11 per cent, from £3.55 to £3.15.
