An urgent emergency services and mountain rescue response was sparked over concerns for the welfare of a girl at a quarry in Rochdale.
Police officers, paramedics and crews from the Oldham Mountain Rescue Team were called to Newhey Quarry at around 5pm on Sunday afternoon (November 12).
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said officers responded to reports of 'concern for the welfare of a teenage girl'.
Mountain rescuers said the girl had to be 'evacuated' from the quarry after suffering a 'medical condition'. They used a 4x4 vehicle to help take her to safety.
