Hamilton Accies boss John Rankin admits he fears clubs could be circling for more of his stars ahead of the January transfer window. The New Douglas Park side parted with teen striker Ryan One at the end of the last transfer window in September.

The 17-year-old made a big move to Sheffield United and has since gone on to make his debut in the English Premier League against Arsenal last month. There were also moves down south for 17-year-old midfielder Gabe Forsyth, who joined English Championship side Norwich City, while English Premier League side Nottingham Forest snapped up 16-year-old Cormac Daly.Rankin says scouts are consistently watching his side and revealed he is working on contingency plans in case players move on at the turn of the year.He said: "We are quite far down the line with pinpointing players we want to bring in, but that will depend on what business we can do in regards to getting some players out."It depends how things go with players here.

Sometimes it can be players you are not expecting to lose."Last season we had Andy Ryan going when we didn't expect to lose him, so we had to readjust our plans."It could be pretty similar in January if somebody thinks one of our players can make a difference to them, like the Ryan One situation at the end of the last window."I don't know if that will occur, but we need to have plans in place in case it does happen."We haven't had any enquiries yet, but the list of people coming to games to watch our players is quite consistent, so that tells me something is going on and somebody is admiring someone within our group."Follow Lanarkshire Live Sport onX via@LanLiveSport, like us onFacebookor find us onInstagramfor the latest sports news, pictures and video.
