Greater Manchester weather forecast as Met Office issues snow and ice warnings

It's set to be another cold start to the week in Greater Manchester - with Met Office snow and ice warnings remaining in place until lunchtime today.

The yellow ice warning covers most of our region as well as much of the north of England. It came into force at 5pm last night and will remain in place until midday.

The yellow snow warning covers mainly hilly areas in the east of Rochdale, Oldham and Bury. It was issued at 8pm last night and runs until noon today. The Met Office warned of difficult travel conditions this morning in the areas covered by the warnings, with icy patches likely to have formed as temperatures dipped in the early hours.
