UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin has denied reports that clubs from the Saudi Pro League such as Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr could feature in future Champions League tournaments.
The Portugal international moved to the Saudi Pro League side at the end of last year following his acrimonious departure from Manchester United after his bombshell interview with Piers Morgan in which he criticised the club, owners and manager Erik ten Hag.
Ronaldo's arrival in Saudi Arabia kick-started a wave of investment in the league as it looks to grow its profile on the world stage.
Karim Benzema arrived at Al-Ittihad from Real Madrid and Neymar joined Al-Hilal from Paris Saint Germain while the likes of Roberto Firmino, Jordan Henderson, N'Golo Kante, Ruben Neves and Sadio Mane will all play in the league this season too.
