Kenneth Chesebro, an attorney and one of the 19 defendants named in the Fulton County, GA, election interference case, pled guilty today to a felony charge.
Chesebro of conspiracy to commit filing false documents, averting a trial that was scheduled to start next week. At a hearing carried on cable news networks, he was sentenced to five years of probation, 100 hours of community service and $5,000 restitution.
He also agreed to testify truthfully as other defendants face trials. He also wrote a letter of apology. On Thursday, Sidney Powell, one of Trump’s legal advisers in the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election, pled guilty to six misdemeanor counts.
Another defendant, Scott Graham Hall, pled guilty last month to five counts of conspiracy to commit intentional interference with performance of election duties.
