Devastated friends of Liam Buchan have paid tribute to the teen and said they hoped he was "watching above" after a body was recovered from the River North Esk.
Liam, 15, had gotten into difficulty at the popular beauty spot near Edzell in Angus on Saturday, July 18.Police confirmed a body was recovered from the water at around 1.30am on Monday, July 24, amid the search for Liam, and said his family had been informed.
Tributes have since poured in online for the schoolboy.Kevin Turnbull Jr. added: "Fly high bro, I’ll miss you, everyone will." While Lori Collins wrote: "Rest in peace, Liam, it was not meant to be your time yet.
Absolutely heartbreaking."Tamara-leigh Hornal said: "RIP, I love you so much and hope you're watching above. There’s nobody I'm gonna miss more than you.
