Emmerdale fans 'devastated' by Rishi Sharma ending twist as Jai's wedding ends in disaster

Emmerdale viewers were left completely stunned after tonight's instalment of the ITV soap, as in a heartbreaking twist it was revealed that Rishi Sharma (played by Bhasker Patel) had died in a freak accident.The long-awaited episode finally saw Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) and Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) tying the knot in an intimate church wedding ceremony in the village.

But only hours before Laurel walked down the aisle, with the pair's nearest and dearest in attendance, Rishi and Jai's mum Georgia turned up to try and make amends with the couple.

What happened instead, was a raging argument between Rishi and Jai once more, as the pained father finally admitted that his adopted son's real dad was his own brother. "My brother.
