Travis star Fran Healy has revealed his band’s new album was inspired by the break up of his marriage and heartache.The singer, who wed German photographer Nora Kryst in 2008, saidhe recorded his 10th Travis album called, L.A.

Times after his marriage ended and one of his best friends died of cancer.Travis had also sacked the manager they had worked with for 25 years."It was like being in a storm and you think you might sink," Healy, 50, said."Then it clears, because that’s what life does and coming out the other end is this record. “When I say it’s the most personal record the band have done it’s because it’s imbued with all of this stuff in it."It’s like whisky.

I’ve been soaked in all this mad stuff and I think it shows."A track on the album called Alive celebrates the life of friend Ringan Ledwidge, who directed videos for the band's hits Turn and Coming Around.

He passed away from cancer in 2021 aged 50.Healy's son Clay, now 18, is studying at art school in New York, as well as having started a band of his own.Healy says his marriage to wife Nora saw them drift apart.He told the BBC: "We looked at each other one day and it was just like we both sighed."I was this ‘this just feels…’ and she went ‘I know'.
