New 'dream' career for Lanarkshire triplet mum turned children's author

A triplet mother has turned an exciting new chapter in her life following the publication of her first children's book.Claire Renny is celebrating the release of 'The Monkey Who Lost Her Ooh Ooh Ah Ah' - a thought-provoking tale about a monkey whose hopes and dreams come true inspired by her seven-year-old daughters who take a starring role in the story.The 41-year-old Lanarkshire mum works as a customer response manager by day, but by night she hones her creativity through the imaginative world of child fiction.And this Sunday (August 18) she will host her debut book launch in Glasgow after signing a "dream" publishing deal with Pegasus Publishers, Nightingale books.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

She said: "I became a mother to my beautiful triplet girls Beth, Katie and Erin, who will be eight years old in October."My girls loved nothing more than a story before bedtime.

I often found myself adding on extra adventures or including them in the book, which they found hilarious."I’d either capture their interest or send them to sleep, either way worked for me.
