Shawn Mendes Announces New Album 'Shawn' - Details Revealed!
justjared.comShawn Mendes is returning with a new album! The 25-year-old music superstar announced his new self-titled album, Shawn, will be releasing on October 18, via Island Records.
This is Shawn‘s fifth studio album, and “draws deeply from his travels and experiences over the last few years, following the cancellation of his 2022 tour,” according to a a release. “It represents his most musically intimate and lyrically honest work to date, guiding listeners through a profound self-dialogue with each song.” Keep reading to find out more… The album was written and recorded over the course of two years, in locations including Nosara, Costa Rica; Clubhouse Studio in Rhinebeck, NY; Bear Creek Studio in Washington State; Darkhorse Recordings in Nashville; and Electric Lady in New York City.
The album was written and co-produced by Shawn alongside Scott Harris, Mike Sabath, Nate Mercereau and Eddie Benjamin, with additional songs co-written by Amy Allen and Ethan Gruska.
