Jennifer Lopez
Jennifer Lynn Lopez (born July 24, 1969), also known by her nickname J.Lo, is an American actress, singer, dancer, fashion designer, producer and businesswoman. In 1991, Lopez began appearing as a Fly Girl dancer on In Living Color, where she remained a regular until she decided to pursue an acting career in 1993. For her first leading role in the 1997 Selena biopic of the same name, Lopez received a Golden Globe nomination and became the first Latin actress to earn over US$1 million for a film. She went on to star in Anaconda (1997) and Out of Sight (1998), later establishing herself as the highest-paid Latin actress in Hollywood.

Top marks in West Dunbartonshire as pass rates for SQA exam results soar

After a nervous summer of waiting, more than 2000 young people across West Dunbartonshire received their SQA exam results last week.And there were top marks across the board, with pass rates locally soaring for pupils sitting National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher examinations.A total of 89 percent of pupils achieved a Nat.5 pass, compared to 80 percent in 2022, whilst 88 percent of students earned at least one Higher - up from 77 percent last year.Advanced Higher pass rates were up too, rising by three percent to 75 percent.Across the area, a total of 2,300 young people received SQA qualification results this morning in National 4 and 5, plus Higher and Advanced Higher.Laura Mason, chief education officer at WDC, said: “We are proud of all of our pupils whose hard work throughout the year has seen them achieve such good results.“I would also like to thank staff for their dedication in guiding pupils through this process, preparing them with the skills and experiences to help them thrive when they leave school; and to parents who have supported and encouraged their young people to achieve.“Our goal now is to continue improving attainment and ensure every young person in West Dunbartonshire is supported to fulfil their potential.”Councillor Clare Steel, convener of educational services, said: “I am extremely proud of how hard every single pupil has worked and have enjoyed hearing about the many different paths they are now taking in life.“From university courses to apprenticeships, and college qualifications to entering the workplace, their hard work over the years has well and truly paid off.“Whether they are continuing at school for another year or two, or they are moving on to a new stage of their lives, I wish each
