From cornflake brownies to Bakewell scones, here are four recipes you’ll want to try this weekend… Bakewell scones Makes 8 Ingredients 100g chilled unsalted butter, cubed 325g self-raising flour, plus extra for dusting 150g ground almonds 50g caster sugar 1 tsp baking powder ½ tsp sea salt 190ml whole milk 1 tsp lemon juice 1 tsp almond extract 150g glacé cherries, chopped 1 egg, beaten 30g flaked almonds Method Preheat the oven to 220ºC/200ºC fan/gas mark 7 and line a large baking tray with parchment paper.
