Alison Hammond has detailed for the first time how Eamonn Holmes made a 'touching gesture' as she suffered a devastating loss.

The This Morning star's mum tragically passed away from liver and lung cancer in January 2020. In a heartbreaking message at the time of Maria's passing, Alison dedicated Valentine's Day 2020 to her "beautiful, wonderful" mother as she announced her sad loss. "Yesterday my family and I celebrated her amazing life and laid her to rest in a beautiful ceremony she would have been proud of," she said. "Thank you mummy for giving me the strength to move forward in the knowledge that you're ok and with God in Heaven now.
