Holly Willoughby’s This Morning return date and her co-host confirmed

Holly Willoughby is due to return as the host of This Morning next week, presenters Rochelle Humes and Andi Peters confirmed today, Friday, 1 September.

Her co-host was confirmed to be Alison Hammond, who has been hosting since Holly took time off for the summer holidays. Holly has been presenting without her longtime co-host and good friend Philip Schofield, as he left ITV after admitting to having an affair with a much younger male colleague, which he called “unwise but not illegal.” A source told The Sun that Holly has been helping in the investigations surrounding Philip, 61, which is due to be released in the coming weeks, and that she “has nothing to hide.” The source said: “Holly has done everything that was asked of her during the investigation. "She told them everything they asked and has done all she can to help when answering their questions.

She’s got nothing to hide. "She fully complied and cooperated with the investigation and made it clear she was an open book.” Insiders say that Eamonn Holmes has not been “approached” to help with the investigation.

Talking to The Sun, a source said: "Eamonn has extensive knowledge of the atmosphere at This Morning and has said before he thought Phil’s affair was 'covered up' "He and Ruth were working on the show while it was going on.The fact he’s not been approached is leading to confusion as he could be key in helping engender change at ITV. "If he and Ruth aren’t asked about what they know, it appears the investigation into This Morning and what went on may not be as thorough as people first believed it would be." Holly recently opened up about spiritual rituals that she takes part in.
