These would all be good options, but none of them won a recent poll on Reddit.At the beginning of August, a social media user who goes by SupermarketSuperSalt posed that very question in the Scotland subreddit as part of a series of polls they're putting together to identify the most well-known places, people, dishes and sights in the country.
It all started when they asked their fellow Scots to name the most famous landmark in the country, and forum users voted for the M74 "penis trees" rather than, say, Edinburgh castle or the Forth bridge.
