Yet just a few doors over, the shutters are down on what was once the village fishmongers "My god there's nothing here anymore, there's more empty than there is full," says Carol Taylor, 77, as she sits on a bench, puffing on a vape on Cheadle High Street.
This may be one of Greater Manchester's most affluent constituencies, but it's clear many people here are feeling the pinch.
