‘The Traitors’ UK Renewed For Season 3 Before Season 2 Launch
deadline.comThe Traitors has been renewed for a third season in the UK before the second has even aired. Studio Lambert‘s smash format hosted by Claudia Winkleman has already opened up casting for Season 3 and will likely air towards the backend of next year or early the following one.
Season 2 will air soon, with schedling coming in due course. The BAFTA-winning guessing game format sees 22 strangers aim to win up to £120,000 ($146,000).
Three ‘traitors’ are given the opportunity to ‘murder’ contestants, while remaining ‘faithfuls’ have to smote them out, and the group compete in daily challenges to keep the prize fund steady.
Last year’s first season was a runaway hit, praised for its diverse casting, scheduling and ability to provide ‘watercooler’ moments.
