A 'promising' engineer has been jailed after her cannabis and cocaine dealing operation was exposed. Danielle Stafford's drug empire funded designer bags, watches and expensive holidays, Hull Live reports.

The 29-year-old made so much money selling cannabis, cocaine and heroin that she was even able to buy a second home and lived without touching her salary, a court heard. 'Well-educated' Stafford tried to pretend that she was merely the victim of a shadowy Liverpool drug dealer but she could give no evidence of that.

At Hull Crown Court, she was jailed for seven-and-a-half years. She was caught only by pure chance when police spotted her speeding. A phone constantly rang with 30 calls or pinged with up to 20 drug messages after she was arrested and police later found £26,917 cash stashed around her home and drugs with a street value of £33,600.
