A 'next-level' curry house tucked away in a country pub has been voted the UK's best. Gandhi Indian Restaurant and Takeaway, which operates from of the back of The Hunter pub in Saverley Green, Staffordshire, just over an hour's drive from Manchester, won the top prize at this week's Nation's Curry Awards.

Head chef Mohammed Kamal also won Chef of the Year at last year's awards, Cheshire Live reports. The team were joined by celebrity fan and restaurant regular, Neil 'Nello' Baldwin, the Stoke City legend made famous in Marvellous, the film about his life, at the Manchester awards ceremony held at the Hilton in Beetham Tower.
