Teenager dies after car smashes into tree with three others rushed to hospital

A 19-year-old man has died after a Ford Fiesta was ploughed into a tree on Easter Sunday (April 9). Police and paramedics were called out to the fatal collision on the A530 near Nantwich at around 6.30pm.

The front passenger, a 19-year-old man from the Whitchurch area of Shropshire, was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

Three other passengers, an 18-year-old man, 22-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman were rushed to hospital, but their injuries are not thought to be life threatening. Cheshire Police are now appealing for witnesses and anyone with dashcam or video footage following the fatal crash as part of their ongoing investigations. Anyone with any information or video footage which may aid the investigation is asked to contact Cheshire Police via the website or on 101, quoting IML 1520280.
