With a dazzling career that spans over five decades, Shirley, age 63, has confessed to battling severe back pain and after consultations with three top spine experts, she's preparing for surgery.
Opening up about her health concerns, Shirley exclusively shared with OK!, "I've been to see three specialists and I may need surgery.
It's not a choice, I will have to get it sorted. It can wait until after Strictly because I have a high tolerance for pain anyway, and it's something I've been living with for many, many years, but it's just deteriorated over the course of the last year." Shirley isn't taking the prospect of surgery lightly but has ensured she's got the best advice from across the globe, and she's backed by the love and support of her son Mark and her mother Audrey. "I'm on it like a car bonnet," reassures Shirley. “I am working and making sure I’m seeing the best people on both sides of the Atlantic — in the United States and here.
