South Korean actor Park Ji-a of ‘The Glory’ fame has died, aged 52

Netflix‘s The Glory, has passed away on September 30, aged 52.Today (September 30), her management agency, Billions, announced in a press statement that that Park Ji-a had passed away.

It citied “cerebral infarction” as the actor’s cause of death, per The Korea Herald. “We will not forget the passion of the deceased who loved performing,” the statement read.SBS Star reported that she had been receiving treatment since collapsing from a “cerebral blockage”.

The outlet also quoted a purported “close associate” of Park, who claimed the actor had “suffered an ischemic stroke and was fighting the condition in the hospital, but sadly, she did not recover”.In the source’s statement to media, they also said that Park’s “passion for acting makes this loss even more heartbreaking”.Park began her acting career in theatre before finally landing her first big-screen role on 2002 film The Coast Guard.

Following her debut, Park began to star in other roles such as Asako’s mother in 2007’s Epitaph and 2018’s Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum.
