With several flood warnings in place across the country, It feels like autumn is beginning in earnest this week, which starts with chilly temperatures and persistent rain for many.
A yellow weather warning for rain has been in place since 00:30 this morning (Monday 30) and is expected to last until 20:00 tonight, spanning across Greater Manchester into northeast Wales and the rest of north west England from Stoke-on-Trent up to Lancaster.
It’s not set to last however, with forecasts for tomorrow and the rest of the week looking “much drier”, according to the Met Office.
