Liam James Payne (born 29 August 1993) is an English singer and songwriter.
He rose to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction.
Payne made his debut as a singer when he auditioned for the British television series The X Factor in 2008. After being eliminated as a solo performer, he auditioned again in 2010 and was put into a group with four other contestants to form One Direction
Second teenager arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after 'horrific' stabbing of elderly man
manchestereveningnews.co.ukA second teenager has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after an elderly man was stabbed in Wigan. Police were called to reports of the stabbing on Edge Hall Road, in Orrell, at around 4pm last Thursday (June 27).
The victim, aged in his 70s, was rushed to hospital from the scene, where he remains with serious injuries. He is receiving specialist treatment.
Greater Manchester Police initially arrested an 18-year-old man the following day, Friday (June 28), on suspicion of attempted murder.
