Scots dog spooked by fireworks dies after being hit by cars while fleeing in terror
dailyrecord.co.ukA devastated Scots dog owner has spoken out after her beloved dog died while running away from fireworks.Katie Elwood, from Cumbernauld, told how five-year-old Beau had been out for a walk with her husband Stuart when tragedy struck on Friday, November 3.The Maltese was spooked after a firework exploded nearby causing her to run away in terror.
She briefly returned to her owner's side before a second pyro went off, sending her bolting off, Glasgow Live reports.Katie said: “Stuart had finished work and had been taking Beau for a walk near the house.
She isn't a dog for leaving your side usually so we don't keep her on the lead. She had just been wandering along with Stuart when a firework went off."She ran away but didn't go far.
