A nurse at a Scots care home has been suspended after telling a dementia patient “you will f****** die tonight”. Chan Chi Keung, who worked at the Braemount Nursing Care Home in Paisley, also admitted telling a second OAP to “f*** off”.He was referred to the Nursing and Midwifery Council who found that the shamed nurse had also restrained a care user by placing a couch at the side of their chair to create a barrier.

Later in the evening, he told the patient to 'shut up' and 'I warned you about this, you will f****** die tonight' after finding the resident on the floor of the 'quiet room.'The nurse was also found to have told A, 'she would be staying on the floor, she does this all the time' and 'no, you're staying on the floor, that'll teach you.' Mr Chan also repeatedly slapped away A's hand while trying to clean their eye following the fall - however this was said to be light enough not to leave a bruise, Glasgow Live reports. The panel heard how the actions of Mr Chan were 'out of character' and looked at a series of mitigating factors.

This included testimony that he is a skilled nurse who actively dedicated time to training other nursing assistants and that he had shown remorse for his actions.A report published by the care watchdog this week explains the incidents took place in January 2020.

On an unknown date, the nurse reportedly told resident D to 'f*** off.'Though they said that he displayed a lack of care and compassion towards Resident A, who had dementia and experienced a fall, could have experienced emotional and psychological harm as a result of the incidents.Get the latest news sent straight to your messages by joining our WhatsApp community today. You'll receive daily updates on breaking news as well as
