banana ball.Starting Feb. 8, 2024, the Savannah Bananas will kick off their nationwide 2024 season where they’ll bring in trick pitchers, plop catchers down on bean bags, let umpires dance and even let former MLBers like Johnny Damon, Barry Zito, Jake Peavy, Hunter Pence and Bill “Spaceman” Lee play.And this time around, they’re playing much bigger venues.Last season, the Bananas would square off against the Party Animals — they’re sort of the Washington Generals to the Bananas’ Harlem Globetrotters — in minor league parks and novelty stadiums.

In 2024, they’ll take the field at spring training complexes and six major league stadiums including Boston’s Fenway Park on June 8, Washington, D.C.’s Nationals Park on July 13 and Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Park on Sept.
