Despite still waiting on a first group stage win in the Champions League, Rodgers was delighted with how his team performed against a quality opponent.He spoke of his respect for Simeone before the game, but there didn't seem much coming back his way from the Argentine after the final whistle blew.
The Atleti boss looked more interested in gesturing and remonstrating with the referee, not even looking at Rodgers as he offered his hand.
And it appeared as if he was about to make his way up the tunnel after giving Rodgers the big custard pie.But the former Inter midfielder seemed to realise Rodgers was standing beside him waiting just in time.
