Prince William's selfie with pop sensation Taylor Swift has reportedly "rubbed salt in the wound" for Meghan Markle. The 'Shake It Off' singer allegedly declined an invitation to appear on Meghan's Archetypes podcast, which wrapped up in 2022.

According to insiders, Meghan, 42, is still smarting from the rejection and views the viral snap of her brother-in-law with the star as a tough pill to swallow.

A source revealed: "It's no secret that Meghan went out of her way to try and build a relationship with Taylor, but got nowhere. "It's hard for her and Harry not to see this as being a calculated way for William and the royals to undermine them further.

It's certainly rubbing salt into the wound." The source also suggested that the Sussexes may interpret the photo as a subtle dig at them, especially as they feel that William tends to align himself with figures the Sussexes have tried to associate with. "Going to see Taylor Swift is being taken as proof of that," the insider told Heat Magazine, adding that the situation was particularly difficult as support from "high-profile friends" had been scarce recently, reports the Express.
