Police shut Stockport road following crash
manchestereveningnews.co.ukPolice have taped off a Stockport road this afternoon following a crash. Officers have closed Edgeley Road, next to Alexandra Park, from the junction with Northgate Road to the junction with Carmichael Street.
It is understood that nobody was injured in the collision. Buses are diverting away from the scene, with Stagecoach issuing a warning to passengers that some services are taking alternative routes.

Council workers have also been spotted laying sand on the road. It is not yet clear when the road will reopen. Posting on X, Stagecoach said: "11/368 Srv Due to a police Incident on Edgeley Rd services diverting via Stockport Rd/Brinksway both directions until further notice."
