Police issue update on all 58 people involved in 'truly horrific' M53 school bus crash which left two dead

Police have given an update after a school bus overturned on the M53 in Merseyside killing two people and injuring more than a dozen others.

The horror crash happened on the northbound carriageway of the motorway between J5 for New Chester Road to J4 for Brimstage Road at around 8am this morning (Friday).

According to the Liverpool Echo, the bus was taking pupils to West Kirby Grammar and Calday Grange Grammar School in Wirral.

Merseyside Police has now confirmed 58 people were involved in the crash and given an update on their conditions.
