While many Apple users are enjoying the latest iPhone, users of older-generation devices are being urged to update their phones as soon as possible.
The tech giant has issued a new software update in the form of iOS16.7.1 which has been made available for the iPhone 8, iPhone X, and those released after them.
The update tackles a bug in the iPhone's operating system that could give hackers the means to exploit your device. An issue was confirmed to have been discovered by Apple which was given the zero-day rating (a vulnerability in the software which was discovered by malicious parties before Apple itself).
In order to keep your device safe, it is advised to download the new update as soon as possible, the Mirror reports.
