Phillip Schofield has gone public about his feelings after appearing on screen for the first time in 16 months, stressing he's not planning a career revival.
During a heartfelt moment on his new show, Cast Away, the former This Morning host spoke candidly about his future and reflected on his past career highs and lows, saying: "You expect your life to follow a path?
I honestly thought, you know. I'm going to die on live television, hopefully at 93. But then you know it. It's gone. And it's not the way you planned it to be.
It's not the life you expected." He later referred to his trip as "the last challenge" and clarified his stance on returning to familiar TV roles saying that while he loves working in telly, he won't go backwards. "Look I love telly.
