In the late 90s, alleged child abuser Richard John Ramsey Burrows failed to turn up at court for his trial. A quarter of a century later, he is still missing and still listed as one of the country's most wanted men, reports Cheshire Live.

Burrows, previously from the village of Audem, near Nantwich, was charged by police in 1998 accused of multiple offences of gross indecency.

The charges related to the historic abuse of young boys at a care home during the 1980s. But police said he disappeared before his trial that was due to take place that year at Chester Crown Court.

The former scout master, who would now be in his 70s, has not been found despite extensive enquiries over the years.
