Amanda Holden
Amanda Louise Holden (born 16 February 1971) is an English media personality, actress, television presenter, singer, and author. She has judged on the television talent show competition Britain's Got Talent since the show began its run in 2007 on ITV. As an actress, Holden played the role of Mel in Kiss Me Kate (1998–2000), Geraldine Titley in The Grimleys (1999-2001), Sarah Trevanion in Wild at Heart (2006–2008), Lizzie, the Ring Mistress, in Big Top (2009), and the title role in Thoroughly Modern Millie, for which she was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award.

A new top-of-the-class community building which is home to two Wishaw schools has scooped a highly-prestigious architecture award.The £18 million Newmains & St Brigid’s Community Hub took the Grand Prix in Architecture gong in the Scottish Design Awards (SDA) 2023 after winning the Education Building or Project category.Multidisciplinary design practice BDP was presented the award for its work on the centre, which was designed to be environmentally and energy efficient.The campus contains both Newmains Primary and St Brigid’s Primary schools, and a family learning centre in one shared campus, and has more than 600 children and staff.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
