A hospital where a beloved grandmother died following an 'unnecessary' procedure - incorrectly carried out by medic in a 'relatively new role' - has been criticised by a coroner.
Susan Pollitt's family has spoken of its heartbreak following an inquest into her death. The 77-year-old died at the Royal Oldham Hospital after a stomach drain was unnecessarily inserted and left in more than three times as long as it should have been.
