Missing man, 82, tragically found dead in water after 'discharging himself from hospital'
manchestereveningnews.co.ukAn 82-year-old man was tragically found dead in a stream in the early hours of Wednesday (July 26) after discharging himself from hospital hours before, the Manchester Evening News understands.
The elderly man, originally from the Prestwich area and who was understood to have been receiving treatment at Wythenshawe Hospital, had reportedly 'discharged himself' beforehand and was reported as missing.
A search to locate the man was launched before a body was found by officers in the water at nearby Fairywell Brook at around 12.15am on Wednesday.
