Michael Stewart says Michael Beale's Rangers rebuild has provided a level of worry over how this season will pan out in Govan. The Light Blues won 2-1 against Swiss side Servette in Champions League third round qualifying action on Wednesday but it came with a sense of frustration, as they failed to break down their opposition once they went down to 10 men.
It was ultimately job done but in the backdrop of a 1-0 opening day Premiership defeat to Kilmarnock, some fans are strapping in for a nervy second leg in Geneva.Former Hearts midfielder Stewart says that all Rangers can do is get through to the next round and more wins will be enough to dispel the lingering anxiety.
But given the size of overhaul at Ibrox - signing nine new players in total - Stewart reckons that is providing some angst with plenty of fresh faces bedding in.
Stewart told Sportsound: "I think off the back of Saturday, the first half in particular, the first 20 minutes in particular, was very good."But when you look at the fact it was 10 men and only one goal of a lead, I think there is a degree of disappointment.
