Servette star Steve Rouiller has warned Rangers his team's "strength of character" makes them a Euro foe to be wary of. And his teammate's sweet left foot doesn't hurt either.
The Swiss side travel to Glasgow on Wednesday for the first leg of the Champions League third qualifying round. Michael Beale's team are fancied to progress despite their league season getting off to the worst possible start with a defeat to Kilmarnock on Saturday and Servette thought they were about to take a damaging blow of their own before a dramatic late equaliser on the same day.
Servette are three games into their season and trailed Stade Lausanne in stoppage time. But they rescued a point through Patrick Pflucke's stunning 97th minute free-kick to maintain their unbeaten league start and Rouiller is hoping the momentum can help them to a big result at Ibrox.
Asked about Pflucke's goal, he said: "I had a good feeling before Patrick fired his shot. Everyone knows he's got a hell of a left foot. "For our heads, this equaliser from Pflucke will do the world of good.
