‘The Jinx’ director felt ‘sad’ after convicted killer Robert Durst’s bone-chilling hot mic comments

admitting to multiple murders said he felt “sad” over the chilling TV moment.“The Jinx” director Andrew Jarecki reflected on the alleged 2015 confession ahead of the release of “The Jinx: Part Two,” which follows on from Durst’s ensuing arrest, conviction and 2022 death behind bars at age 78.“The journalist part of me was thinking, ‘This is one of the greatest moments of my life,’” Jarecki told the Financial Times. “But another part of me felt sad that this incredible charade this man had persisted with for years was all coming down to this terrible moment of truth.”Durst’s apparent confession came after filmmakers for the HBO series showed him a letter — written in his own hand — that seemed to implicate him in the murder of his friend, Susan Berman, the outlet said.

Convicted killer Robert Durst is back from the dead in ‘The Jinx — Part Two’ trailer: ‘Don’t tell them s–t’
died in 2022 — but the bizarre story of the multimillionaire New York real estate heir turned murderer is still unravelling. On Wednesday, HBO dropped the first trailer for “The Jinx: Part Two,” the juicy continuation of the 2015 documentary series “The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst” that explosively ended with his apparent confession. That program, by filmmaker Andrew Jarecki, combined a history of Durst’s decades of alleged misdeeds and a rare interview with the eccentric man.In the final episode, a hot mike caught Durst muttering “killed them all, of course” while in the bathroom — a seeming admission to the murders of first wife Kathleen Durst, California friend Susan Berman and Galveston, Texas, neighbor Morris Black that took place between 1982 and 2001.A Texas court ruled in 2001 that Black’s death occurred in self-defense — despite Durst beheading him while disguised as a woman named Dorothy Steiner — and he was acquitted. The shocking verdict led to The Post’s front page headline: “Run For Your Lives.”But in 2021, Durst was finally convicted of first-degree murder for shooting Berman at her Beverly Hills, California, home 21 years prior.

Will Helen Hunt appear in the new ‘Twisters’ movie? Her sequel idea got rejected for ‘shady’ reason
new trailer for the movie “Twisters,” a follow-up to 1996’s disaster flick “Twister” that hits theaters on July 19, social media alighted with viewers praying for a cameo from original star Helen Hunt.“I hope Helen Hunt makes a cameo in the new Twisters movie,” said user @_IAMeveryWoman on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.@JTMitcell87 wanted a glimpse of the actress, too. “I kept waiting for Helen Hunt to show up, drop a pun, then fire Dorothy sensors into a twister with a modified shotgun,” they wrote. No such luck. So, will Hunt make an appearance in the movie 28 years after she first chased tornadoes? A Universal source told The Post the 60-year-old actress is not returning for “Twisters.”The new film is instead led by Glen Powell (“Top Gun: Maverick”) as Tyler Owens, Daisy Edgar-Jones (“Where The Crawdads Sing”) as Kate Cooper and Anthony Ramos (“In The Heights”) as Javi.Other roles are filled by Maura Tierney (“ER”), Kiernan Shipka (“Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”) and David Corenswet (DC’s new Clark Kent/ Superman in the upcoming “Superman: Legacy”).An absent Hunt would gel with what Powell told Vogue in December — that “Twisters” is neither a reboot nor a sequel.“It’s definitely not a reboot,” the 35-year-old actor said.
