If this is, in the words of JD Vance, what being a “miserable childless cat lady” looks like, then count me in. Tory Burch has added onto the cat discourse with a new feline-filled collection, out today and starring self-proclaimed “cat lady” herself Maude Apatow.

The limited-edition capsule, titled Animal House, includes many of the New York brand’s most signature pieces — such as the Kira Shoulder Bag and Miller t-strap sandals — imprinted instead with the famous black-and-white photo “Cat” (1996) by German portrait photographer Walter Schels. “There’s a human element to Walter’s photographs, in the way he looks at the animals, and they, in turn, look back,” Tory Burch told HighSnobiety of Schels’ work. “He gives animals the same respect as humans, highlighting their unique personalities and emotions.” The campaign imagery, starring Apatow alongside her own cat, Dolly, was shot by photographer Ellen Fedors. “The hardest part was separating Dolly from [the bodega cat] Lucie,” Maude told Highsnobiety about shooting the campaign. “They kept wanting to hang out, but Dolly was on the clock!” “Animal House” is part of Tory Burch’s Resort 2024 collection, meaning in addition to their bestselling bags and shoes, the lineup also includes summer swimwear, sandals, clogs and dresses.

The entire collection is available to shop on the Tory Burch website starting today, but those in New York can check out the limited-edition pieces in person.
