Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney gives verdict on Lionel Messi's Inter Miami transfer

Rooney is currently in charge of the Herons' Eastern Conference rivals DC United, who sit eighth in the table. Beckham's Miami are struggling so far this season and sit bottom of the league, despite sacking Phil Neville last month DC and Inter faced each other last weekend in the MLS, with Rooney's men twice coming back from behind to draw 2-2 with the basement club.
While not officially announced by the club yet, Messi revealed he would be moving to Beckham's co-owned club this summer after negotiations over a return to Barcelona fell through. He explained: "It is a great move for the MLS. "I think commercially it will be huge, it will draw interest again from different regions of the world, I am sure it will do that as well because you are getting arguably one of the best players to play the game. "I am sure he will come here and want to be competitive and want to help Miami climb up the table.
