Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has spoken more about the imminent arrival of Sir Jim Ratcliffe at Old Trafford, saying he plans to sit down for talks with the new co-owner.

Ratcliffe is set to assume sporting control of the club once his minority investment - which will eventually rise to 29 per cent - is ratified by the Premier League.

This is set to take a number of weeks so present January transfer window plans will not be impacted. Meanwhile, a young striker is set to be handed a new contract having impressed Erik ten Hag and his staff.

The 20-year-old is yet to make his senior debut but was named on the bench in the win over Everton in November.
