The 48-year-old country singer went viral after saying that the 43-year-old Cowboy Carter star needed to “get in the family” of country music in order to earn CMA Awards recognition. “Hey yall, I’m wrapping up the last night of my tour tonight and it’s been an amazing time.
For that I am thankful,” he began in a post on social media, addressing “the ridiculous nature” of discourse after his Andy Cohen SiriusXM interview went viral. Luke said a “false narrative” was being spread and encouraged fans to “listen to the interview” for complete context.
