Lisa Snowdon on fiancé George: 'I completely trust him, he's my best mate'
ok.co.ukWhile Lisa Snowdon says she has no plans to walk down the aisle, she is definitely in the best place - and best relationship - she's ever been in.The 52-year-old model and presenter, who is a regular on This Morning, got engaged to entrepreneur George Smart, 44, five years ago and he's her "best mate" as well as her partner for life. "To me, the fundamentals in a relationship are trust, love, laughter, companionship, friendship and teamwork," she exclusively tells OK!. "It’s having that love in somebody that you just completely trust to have your back.
And we adore spending time with each other. We just have a laugh, he’s my best mate as well.” The couple, who live together in London, actually first had a fling together 20 years ago, when they met when Lisa was working as an on-air DJ at MTV, and George was the channel's Head of Events.
But the timing was off, with Lisa about to move to America to film LA Pool Party with Jayne Middlemiss and Tess Daly, and, she tells us, "because he was 23, so it was never going to work!".
Fast forward 20 years and after being reintroduced again around 10 years ago, she couldn't be happier - but said marriage wasn't on the cards. "I mean, I love a wedding, I love going to a wedding, I love the idea of it all and I’m always in tears, but do I want to be the centre of attention on the day?
