Popular Caribbean restaurant Jerk Junction is offering a ‘black card’ to one lucky diner in exchange for supporting a local youth club.
The restaurant, which has a venue on Manchester Road in Chorlton as well as locations in Altrincham and at MediaCity’s Kargo MKT, has unveiled a fundraising campaign in support of the Old Trafford Youth Club.
Consisting of a raffle, the restaurant aims to help raise £10,000 for the club by offering out a ‘black card’, which will give one person £1,000 to spend at Jerk Junction.
The restaurant, known for its famous jerk chicken and curried goat, also recently opened a new store in Wilmslow. READ MORE: Northern Quarter's 'best kept secret' blossomed from a derelict warehouse Jerk Junction founder Jake Shaffi said he wanted to help support youth clubs, which struggle to keep afloat, thanks to his own experiences during his childhood. “Most of my days growing up were spent in youth clubs,” Jake explained to the M.E.N. “Being from around the M16 area, the streets weren’t always the best places for kids to hang out.
