Film fanatics in Lanarkshire can grab themselves a free upgrade to XPlus screenings at Showcase Cinemas over the next week. The offer, which is available to all cinemagoers until October 12, will be available for new releases such The Creator, starring John David Washington and Gemma Chan in a dystopian future impacted by war between humans and artificial intelligence and the terrifying Exorcist: The Believer.

To celebrate the offer, blockbusters from this past summer including Oppenheimer , Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning: Part 1 and Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny will also be returning to the XPlus screen, along with 90s sci-fi favourite Jurassic Park , with all customers able to upgrade their tickets at cinemas including the firm's Bargeddie location to XPlus for no additional cost.
